payrollDates ='<div class="dialog_title">Dates and payroll</div><div class="dialog_content"><div id="dialog_body" style="height:100%;"><div class="divspacer" style="font-size:11px;"><div style="color:#003399;">Dates are a very important factor in payroll; they can affect which tax year your payslip is part off, they affect the sort of tax code you have and they affect what appears on your P60. Here is a guide on what you need to know about dates and payroll. The info below is more important to monthly and four weekly paid people but can also affect people paid weekly and fortnightly.</div><div>A tax year runs from 6th April to 5th April the following year, it is split up into weekly and monthly tax periods, the first weekly tax period ends on 12th April and the first monthly tax period ends on 5th May. Each tax period then advances to the next one and so on. Fortnightly and four weekly pay periods are just multiples of the weekly tax periods. A tax year is identified by the year it starts and the year it ends i.e. 2011-12 represents the tax year that starts 06/04/2011 and ends 05/04/2012.</div><div>Tax month\'s start on the 5th of the month, if your payslip date is the 1st of the month then your payslip will be in the previous month\'s  tax period i.e. 1st May will be in the April tax month: always date your monthly payslip after the 5th of the month, usually monthly payslips will be dated towards the end of the month with most being the last day of the month.</div><div>Dating a  payslip before 6th April 2011 will put it into the tax year 2010-11, the remaining payslips dated after April 6th will be in the new tax year; 2011-12. This will mean that the year to date earnings for the second and subsequent payslips will start at zero from the second payslip onwards. Using a date between 1st and 5th April may produce results that you were not expecting.</div><div><span style="color:#63030C; font-weight:bold;">Tip</span>: for a payslip date use a date at the end of your pay period, maybe the Friday or Saturday of the week if paid weekly or the last day of the month if paid monthly, try to avoid using dates between the 1st and 5th of the month.</div><div>If you started your job after 5th April of the current tax year the year to date (YTD) amounts run from the pay period of your start date i.e. a start date of 15th May will have YTD\'s calculated from May whereas a May 1st start date will have the YTD\'s calculated from April. Once again dates between the 1st and 5th of the month may produce results that you were not expecting.</div><div><span style="color:#63030C; font-weight:bold;">Tip</span>: it may be a good idea to use the date of your first payslip instead of your start date, by using the payslip date the YTD calculation will be correct. The start date it\'s self is not directly used in any calculation and is not part of the payslip or P60 so it need not be the exact date you started.</div><div>Entering a start date within the current year will change your tax code to a \'Month 1\' or \'Week 1\' non cumulative tax code. The M1 / Wk1 has very little effect on the tax but is the correct type of tax code if you started after the start of the new tax year. Entering a start date before the start of the new tax year will have no effect at all; it is ignored.</div></div></div></div>';

Most of the other browsers have such small user percentages that they have not been tested; it is really important if you use a browser not mentioned that you do a test print.</div><div>We are more than happy to help you (call us on 0333 5 777 099) with any browser or printing problems you have when doing your test print.</div><div>Just before making payment you will be asked to confirm that you have done a test print, once payment has been made your order can\'t be changed.</div></div></div></div>';
